Protestation of the elders of Kalisz against the land elders of Wielkopolska

Mendel Herc, Marek Korzennik and Jakub Jachimowicz, the elders of Kalisz, protest against the land elders of Wielkopolska, gathered at the Jewish assembly in Toruń, against the excessive sum of poll tax imposed on them contrary to the universal issued by the Grand Treasurer of the Crown, Hieronim Augustyn Lubomirski, on the 26th October, 1699, at the Rzeszów Castle.
